Can pets get dengue fever from infected person?
No, pets like cats and dogs cannot get dengue fever from infected humans. This is because they do not serve as hosts for this type of virus and therefore the risk of getting it from the bites of mosquitoes is not possible. This is why no vaccine is available for pets against dengue fever.
But still they can be affected by other mosquitoes like Zika Virus, heart worm disease etc
