Yes, severity of the dengue infection would be more in your case than non diabetic person. You would have greater risk of developing haemorrhagic fever or dengue shock syndrome. It can significantly fluctuate your blood sugar levels which can lead to hyperglycaemia or hypoglycaemia condition.
As vomiting and diarrhoea is one of the common symptoms in dengue, it can cause dehydration which can increase the risk of dehydration and kidney damage in diabetic people. Also the recovery period for someone with diabetes would be much longer.
